Good Health follows good Dental Hygiene
The teeth make up such an important part of the face, and yet are the most neglected in our body. Adults spend so much time in front of the mirror, making themselves beautiful, beautifying their eyes, their lips, their nails and naturally their hair. But how much time does one really spend in looking after the teeth? Just brushing your teeth early in the morning is certainly not enough care for the teeth. Brush them once more before going to bed .This is actually more important than in the morning.
If you don’t brush your teeth after your last meal, the dirt particles remain in your mouth all night and settle down in your gums giving rise to gum diseases, bad mouth odour and dental decay. The use of a soft toothbrush with gentle brushing keeps the teeth clean. An electric toothbrush is often used nowadays, and sometimes it can be an incentive to brush your teeth, because you enjoy using it.
Bad dental hygiene can actually breed oral diseases and even beyond that. It is advisable to use a mouthwash because it is an antiseptic and enhances oral hygiene, but it definitely does not eliminate the need for brushing and flossing. Hygienists profess that there could be a link between chronic gum infection and serious illnesses like diabetes, stroke, cancer, heart problems and even complications during pregnancy.
The prevention of such diseases is within your reach if you brush your teeth daily and use toothpaste which has fluoride in it. This prevents the teeth from contracting any bacterial infection. But diet also plays a major role in dental hygiene. Eating fresh fruits and vegetables and less sweets definitely help your teeth to acquire good nutrition. Tooth loss is rare nowadays, but it still exists. Look after your teeth so well, so that you can have a better tomorrow and be able to retain all your natural teeth till the end of your life. A beautiful smile with all your glowing teeth gives you immense confidence about your appearance.
